The Share Social Media Model
A successful formula for social media and being a great digital marketer has been developed by Ann and Jo Goodwin at Win Marketing. This was presented recently at the Rainbows business event and delegates found the approach very helpful.
The SHARE Social Media Model
S = Strategy – seeing the bigger picture;
H = Hearing and being a good listener,
A = Act – Being action orientated – not a procrastinator,
R = Reviewing and learning, improving
E = Engaging with others.
Use the SHARE approach in your Social Media.
Three aspects for success
A definition…
The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted: attributed their success in business to hard work.
Being successful…
How can we ensure success for ourselves and those around us?
There are many aspects that contribute to success.
Three key areas to consider are the aspects around Skill, Attitude and Activity.
SKILLS – You need to gain a skill, develop your skills, continue to improve your skills and maintain your competency levels.
ATTITUDE – Is your glass half full or half empty? Are you positive that you will achieve your goals or are you expecting something bad to happen? Maintaining a positive mental attitude is fundamental to improving your performance. Motivating others will help them to improve their performance.
ACTIVITY – Are we really putting in the right level of effort? Are we busy fools? Do we spend our time wisely during the day – what more could we do?
For long term success you need to be working on all three of these activities.
If you are happy with sporting analogies, imagine the core skills a sportsmen or a woman is born with. These need ongoing development and improvement. Their attitude needs to be focused and positive and they need to put in the practice to ensure they can perform at the highest level when it matters.
As South African golfer, Gary Player (who won 9 major championships) famously said, “The harder you work, the luckier you get”.
Are you developing your skills, maintaining a positive attitude and really conducting the activity you need for your success?
Parents required for Focus Groups
Win Marketing is conducting some research with parents, grandparents and childminders of children under 7 years of age around TV programmes and TV brands. What do their children like to watch and why? Are these the same programmes that the parents preferred the children watched? What TV brands do you trust and why?
We are looking to hold a focus group of 8-10 people in London and are looking for people who would be willing to attend a 2 hour session group to discuss these issues.
For successful participants we will pay a fee of £30 for their attendance.
We also have an online survey which we are looking for people to complete.
If you are willing and interested in attending this then please email me a.goodwin@winmarketing.co.uk
Celebrating the world of photography in journalism and promotion
Celebrating the extraordinary work of Life’s legendary photographers an enthusiastic Rankin travels across the USA in search of the pioneers that encapsulated the American people in a single photograph. Living and studying their subjects for weeks, Bill Eppridge, John Shearer, John Loengard, Burk Uzzle and Harry Benson captured the rises and falls of America through their unique approach to photojournalism. Spanning three decades, the dedication of these photographers enabled Life to tell the American story, documenting momentous events from the assassination of President Robert Kennedy to the Civil Rights struggle and the Vietnam War.
This truly inspiring documentary is definitely worth a watch as it demonstrates the power of photography through iconic images and insightful interviews. Photography has the amazing potential to emotionally transport us right into the photograph.
